The Ex Hex Review

I absolutely adored this book. What more can you want for an October read other than magic and love? I like how the author speaks for the characters as the voice of the book. I also really enjoyed her use of vocabulary. I felt like I was learning more words every chapter or so.

Right away you connect with the characters because almost everyone has had a summer fling they cherished so much, and hoped would last. Rhys and Vivi are witches who fell in love one summer, but once reality hit as summer came to an end, they went on with their separate ways. (The reality was that Rhys was about to get married to his betrothed). As any 19-year-old would react, Vivi left him heartbroken and accidentally cursed him with her cousin. Whoops. Years later when he returns to town, he is still as beautiful and charming as he ever was, and he still finds Vivi to be the most gorgeous and amazing girl he’s ever been with. She has the same mutual feelings for him as soon as she sees him. As they try to push away their undeniable feelings for each other, they also need each other to put the curse in reverse.
